Katherine Hindley is Assistant Professor of Medieval Literature at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.  Her main research interests include the use of text for protection and healing in medieval England, the depiction of medical treatment in medieval literature, and the manuscript roll. She is currently working on a book tracing the use of written charms in England from the Anglo-Saxon period to the end of the fifteenth century.
